Home

I was awake at 3:30 and planning my trip home but thought my neighbors wouldn't appreciate me packing up to go at that time so I tried to sleep a while longer.  I watched the sun rise in Wyoming and was on the road by 6:30.  It was very hazy in Wyoming from the fires out west.

I was hoping the little Prairie Dogs that lived in the area behind the campers would be up so I could get some good pictures but they must sleep in.  Here's one from last night:

I didn't plan any stops after Cheyenne, Wyoming figuring I'd just stop if I got tired.  The temperatures on the way home were way better than on the way out so if I had to, I could boondock somewhere.  So I just drove.  And drove. And drove.  And I made it all the way home at midnight.  If I would have known what an absolute mess I74 was, I would have rethougt that decision.  The last 75 miles was a killer.  There were so many barrels on the road it was hard to even tell where you were supposed to go!  I hated it.  I whined.  But I made it through to Bloomington.  It felt great to sleep in my home bed.

Thanks for following my first solo trip.  I hope there will be many more!
