Pavement Ends??

This is a picture from CDOT of what I70 in the Glenwood Canyon looks like. Serious damage from the flash floods and mudslides.

Since there was no way to make it back on I-70, I followed the detour that left I70 at West Rifle on Highway 13.  I had no desire to climb the mountain or drive through Denver again, so I stayed on 13 allll the way to interstate 80 through Northern Colorado and Southern Wyoming. It was a decent 2 lane road except for one  place.  It was the worst road I had ever driven on. There was a road sign that said Pavement Ends.  That is never a good sign!   They were tearing up the highway but still let us drive on it. It was harrowing! Especially pulling a trailer! At 2 mph we were bouncing! Some parts were dirt, some were rocks and holes.
Nothing much more exciting today. I made it to Cheyenne and have spent the evening giving tours of my trailer.
