Storm - Round THREE

Let's start with the dry part of the day first.

NuCamp, the makers of these tiny trailers had tech talks today. They split groups into three 90 minute sessions, the T@Gs, the T@B 320s, and the T@B 400s.  It was all a question and answer session and people could ask anything about the Campers or maintenance or how to do certain things. There's a lot of misinformation and opinion online, and I don't need to tell you that, and so it's good to get the information straight from the factory people. They were very nice and very patient with all the questions. I got the answer to my window questions and that is shades fully up and windows fully locked not half locked for traveling.

Later in the afternoon we had a painting party and here is what I made and yes of course I used a stencil, I have no artistic talent.
and my real camper doesn't have blue on the outside but the blue will match my bedspread :-)

In the Nucamp gatherings this night is usually a potluck but with covid it was just a bring your own dinner. All of our events are outside so hopefully that lessens the chance of any Delta transmission. The theme was Hawaiian. And for the later evening it was karaoke. Some of the Acts were very funny and some were very bad :-)

A local winery had wine tasting.

This is my neighbor, Bea.

And then came the weather warnings and special weather statements. I had taken my visor down off the trailer because I got tired of worrying about when the next storm was going to come. I covered up the things that needed to be covered and went inside to hold on. This one was a lot bigger rain event and the thunder and the lightning were incredible. It went on for a long time and there were also flood warnings all around but we're high enough up on the river that we are safe.

Last night's storm included a couple power outages just for some additional excitement.
I-70 through the Glenwood Canyon is closed and probably for at least the weekend. The detour is crazy (see the red route in the picture below) so I've been planning another route out. There's a lot of our campers that have to go East to Denver or to parts East.
It's closed ecause the canyon looks like this. The lower road on the left is the Eastbound I70  lane.
